One of the those questions that comes up quite frequently with Checkout users is now to move the program and data file to a new Mac.
First off, you need to decide if you want to upgrade to Checkout 4; take a look here for details of the new features and improvements.
If you decide to upgrade then you can download the software onto your new Mac via the trial button on the Checkout site.
If you want to stay with Checkout 3 you'll need to email Checkout support and ask for a link to the download. Either way, install the program on your new Mac. Provided your new Mac hasn't had a previous Checkout installation, you'll get 30 days before you need to transfer your licence from the old Mac.
If you've gone for Checkout 4 you can register it with the serial you'll be given.
Next, take a backup of the Checkout data file on your old Mac: with Checkout open > Menu Bar (list of options along the very top of your screen) > Checkout > Manage Checkout Stores > authenticate > Backup. Ensure you have a secure copy of your backup before transferring the backup to your new Mac, launch Checkout on the new Mac and go to Menu Bar > Manage Checkout Stores > authenticate > Restore > browse for your file and go through the steps. You should then have your Checkout store file ready for use on your new Mac.
If you're staying on Checkout 3 you'll need to deregister the program on your old Mac at some point within the 30 day period so you can transfer the registration to the new one: Menu Bar > Registration - you'll need to be online. Once done you can use your serial to register Checkout on the new Mac. If you don't have your licence serial, email Checkout support with your company name and address and ask them for it.

As ever with this kind of thing, give yourself plenty of time to get it done; don't do it first thing on a Monday morning for instance!
